Immunity Boosting Orange Smoothie
For my first recipe of the new year, I wanted to bring you something healthy to start your January off right! Smoothies are a great way to add fresh produce to your diet because they’re quick and easy to make. Plus, there are endless ways to combine ingredients to make deliciously healthy smoothies. For the past week, I’ve been drinking a smoothie every day and continue to come up with new flavor combinations.
There are a few smoothie recipes that I find myself going back to again and again, because they’re just so good. One of those is this Cocoa Almond Protein Smoothie, another is a green smoothie that I’ll be sharing here soon, and another is this Immunity Boosting Orange Smoothie!

This refreshing orange smoothie is great for this time of year, when colds and other viruses are going around. Both fresh oranges and mango contain a good dose of Vitamin C, which can help protect our immunity. When it comes to staying healthy, we’ll need to do a bit more than drink delicious smoothies. 😉 A combination of nutritious foods, exercise, stress reduction, and good old hand-washing are the best ways to prevent illness. I could write a whole series of posts about reducing stress, but for now I’ll just say that consistent exercise is a great help.
Ingredients
- 1 large orange, peeled
- ½ medium banana
- 1 cup frozen mango pieces
- ½ cup almond milk
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
