Recipe : Beef Cobbler


     This fantastic beef pot pie recipe is filled with leftover roast beef, peas, carrots & other veggies. It's topped with amazing melt-in-your-mouth cheesy biscuits. Perfect comfort food for fall or winter nights.

Ingredients :
red meat FILLING:
3 cups leftover pork from prime rib, steak or roast, cubed
1/2 cup carrots peeled and sliced
half of cup celery diced
half cup onion diced
half cup leeks inexperienced top removed, diced
2 cloves garlic minced
1/2 red bell pepper chopped
1 cup frozen peas
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/three cup UNBLEACHED flour
1/2 tsp. dried marjoram
half of tsp. dried thyme
1 tsp. dried parsley
half of tsp. liquid smoke
1 tsp. red Himalayan sea salt
1/2 tsp. floor black pepper
sixteen ounces. field beef broth
sparkling thyme leaves for garnish, as preferred
CHEESE BISCUITS:
1 half of  cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
1 half tsp.  garlic powder
1 tsp. red Himalayan sea salt
2/three tsp.  black pepper
2/3 tsp. dried thyme
1 tbsp. dried parsley
3 cups UNLBLEACHED all-motive flour
half cup fresh, snipped chives
1 1/3 to at least one half of cups 2 % cold milk as needed
How To Make :
red meat FILLING:
In a Dutch oven, soften butter over low to medium warmth.
upload carrots, celery, bell pepper, garlic, onion and leeks.
Sauté until soft, about 10 minutes or whilst carrots are approximately fork smooth.
add peas and stir to combine.
Sprinkle flour over pinnacle of veggies and stir to combine.
cook dinner some other 2 mins.
add pork broth or inventory, thyme, marjoram, liquid smoke, salt and pepper and slowly until integrated.
cook until thickened—approximately 5 minutes.
Stir in pork.
Grease an 8x12” glass baking dish.
Pour red meat aggregate into organized dish.
top with dollops of biscuit dough.
Bake at 400° for 18-23 minutes or till biscuits are cooked through and biscuits are golden brown.
Garnish with clean thyme earlier than serving.
CHEESE BISCUITS:
In a big bowl, integrate flour, garlic powder, salt, pepper, thyme, parsley, chives, cheese and milk.
Stir simply till combined.
Dollop biscuit dough with a massive spoon or cookie scoop on pinnacle of the pork combination.
Bake at four hundred° for 18-23 minutes or till biscuits are cooked through and biscuits are golden brown.
